  3. Nikki,

Check this video interview at 37s with blow hard Jason Calcannis and David Heinemmeir Hanson.

DHH makes the point, maybe 50 minutes in (start watching at 47) that the only thing that matters to business is profit and sustainability. I think this is an undervalued aspect of the business of CrossFit. If I’m running my business the way I want, I have the freedom of being an owner, I’m helping people change their lives physically, AND I’m making more money than I was at my cubicle-drone job and saving and investing and living all of my dreams, ISN’T That the point?

Who cares about market share and client count EXCEPT as it relates to sustainability, customer experience (at some point you need a group for fun), and your freedom and fun?

    Am I missing something?

    Hi Nicki!

We just celebrated our 5th Birthday at CrossFit Portland as well this weekend. I had no idea that Scott opened on nearly the same day, 2 years later, as Level 4.

    Xi Xia

Happy B-day to you all at CF Portland as well!

  5. Christina says:

Was that the very first one? I wonder if they knew at the time that it would revolutionize itself to be this huge sport. I see Olympic games in the future!

Christina! CF North was indeed the first affiliate…you should dig around…there’s loads of interesting CF History :)
